Truck vs. Pole
On Tuesday Aug. 10, 2010 at approximately 2:15 pm, Boger City Fire was dispatched to a MVC on Highway 27 East just East of Highway 150. Engine 42 arrived to find a vehicle into a utility pole. Patient self extricated himself upon fire department arrival. The utility pole contained power, cable, and telephone lines. Power was temporarily out to over 500 businesses and residents in the area. A water meter was also damaged in the wreckage. Traffic was down to one lane and diverted for approximately two hours. Units that responded were Eng. 42, Rescue 46, and Lincolnton Eng.2.
