Structure Fire
On Sept. 23, 2010 Boger City Fire, Alexis Fire and South Fork Fire were dispatched to a reported structure fire in Iron Station with a report of occupants still inside. Engine 42 arrived to report what appeared to be a doublewide structure fully involved with the roof already collapsed. Crews set up a defensive attack extinguishing the structure along with a storage building. EMS crews responded to treat one patient who made it out of the structure with the help from a relative. One person succumbed to the fire. Fire crews were on the scene for for several hours assisting the Lincoln County Fire Marshals Office and SBI with investigation and overhaul. Units that responded were Eng. 42, Eng. 41, Rescue 46, Eng. 74, Eng. 112, Eng, 200, Lincoln County Fire Marshal 1201, 1202, SBI, Car 421, Car 422. Thanks to Ron McCann for the photo contributions.
