Boger City Fire responds to NASCAR Crew Member's Residence
On July 28, 2008, Boger City Fire was dispatched to reported smoke inside of a residence. Upon arrival crews were met in the yard by Tracy Duncan, Jack man of the #99 NASCAR driven by Carl Edwards. Tracy advised he came home to a smoke filled home. Crews from E42 entered the the structure to find moderate smoke. Interior crews quickly found that the dryer vent had caught on fire and burnt some insulation under the house. Crews extinguished the smoldering insulation and checked for further extension. Mr. Duncan was very appreciative of the quick response and fast attack to save his home. Units that responded were E42, E41, Rescue 46, E102, Car421.
