Building Fire
On July 27 Boger City Fire was dispatched to a structure fire at a commercial structure on Hwy 27 East. Engine 42 arrived to find smoke coming from the attic of a single story commercial structure. Crews entered the structure to gain access to the attic but were unable to extinguish the fire due to a collapsed ceiling. A ladder crew vented the roof to attempt to extinguish the fire. After venting the roof, the fire caused trusses to start collapsing. Crews used the aerial device along with hand lines to bring the fire under control. A control time was called for approximately 45 minutes after fire department arrival. Crews remained on the scene for sever hours assisting completing salvage and overhaul. Units that responded were Eng. 42, Eng. 41, Rescue 46, Eng. 74, Eng. 203, Eng.103, Eng. 104, Ladder 1, Engine 112, LCFM 1201, LCEMS, Tanker 204, Car 420, & Car 421.
