Small Fire in a Nursing Home
On 7/24/09 at approximately 5:30pm, Boger City Fire and
North 321Fire were dispatched to a fire alarm at a rest
home on Buffalo Shoals Rd. Engine 42 arrived on scene to
report evacuation in progress and light smoke showing
from a doorway. Crews entered the structure to find
small fire that had been extinguished by nursing home
staff with a fire extinguisher. Crews checked for
extension and ventilated the structure before residents
were allowed back into the facility. Lincoln County Fire
Marshals Office was contacted for investigation. Units
that responded were E42, E41, R46, E102, C420, C421,
LCFM1202.
