Fatal House Fire In June 2006 Boger City was dispatched to a reported
fully involved structure fire on Beal Pond Road. While
en-route Engine 42 reported heavy smoke and asked for an
additional alarm. Upon arrival E-42 reported a fully
involved mobile home with the roof already collapsed.
Fire crews were told by neighbors that somebody was
possibly inside. Firefighters tried to enter what was
remaining of the structure but were unsuccessful due to
the floor being burnt through. After the fire was
extinguished, crews did find a victim. SBI, Lincoln
County Sheriffs Office, and Lincoln County Fire
Marshal's Office investigated the fire. Lincolnton Fire,
North 321 Fire and South Fork Fire departments assisted.
