Fully Involved House
On Monday April 16, 2007 Boger City Fire and Alexis Fire were dispatched to a possible structure fire on Highway 27 East near Iron Station School. While units were en-route several additional calls came into the Communication Center reporting the structure was fully involved. E42 reported a fully involved single story structure. E41 caught the hydrant and brought a 5" supply to E42. A control time was issued only 18 minutes after original dispatch, which was very impressive considering the location is approximately 3 miles from the station. The fire possibly started around a fireplace that was being used for heat and to cook. One person was made homeless, but was taken care of by Red Cross. Firefighters from both departments did an exceptional job. Units that responded were E42, E41, SQ46, E200, E102, Car420, Car421, Lincoln County EMS, Lincoln Rescue, Lincoln County Sheriffs Dept. Lincoln County Fire Marshals Office.
