Mulch and Field Fire
On March 24, 2007 Boger City Fire
was dispatched to a reported brush fire.
First units arriving on the scene found
a large leaf pile along with
approximately 5 acres of a field
involved. Lincolnton Fire and North 321
were dispatched for water, brush trucks,
and manpower. The fire was contained
quickly, although Boger City Fire had to
go back to the leaf pile several times
over the next few days, due to the pile
being so large, and the fire burning so
deep in the pile. NC Forestry service
personnel also assisted in the call.
