Boger City has a busy Monday
On Monday February 12, 2007
Lincolnton and Boger City Fire were
dispatched to a possible motel fire. The
communications center was receiving
numerous calls of a working fire. Engine
1 arrived and reported a working fire in
a second level room. Engine 41 and Squad
46 from Boger City arrived with 8
firefighters. Boger City assigned with
extinguishment, a primary search of
8 second level rooms, and roof
ventilation. Thanks to the quick
response from both departments the fire
was brought under control in a matter of
minutes and was contained to 2 rooms and
the common attic area. The fire started
from a candle left burning in one of the
rooms. Units on scene were E1, L1, E41,
SQ46, CAR1, CAR4, SQ107, Lincoln County
Emergency Management , Lincoln County
EMS, Lincolnton Police Department, and
NC SBI.
