Working Kitchen Fire in Lincolnton
On Saturday Jan. 17, Lincolnton and Boger City Fire were dispatched to a possible structure fire on Salem Church Rd. Engine 2 and Engine 42 arrived on scene to report heavy smoke showing. Crews from both departments entered the structure to find heavy smoke conditions and heavy fire contained to the kitchen area. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and found nobody to be at home upon completion of a search. The fire appeared to have started from an electrical problem. Units that responded were E1, E2, L1, E42, E41, R46, CAR1, CAR2, CAR3, CAR421.
