North Flint Street Church Fire In January 2006 Boger City was dispatched to assist
Lincolnton Fire with a reported church fire on North
Flint Street Engine 1 arrived on scene to report heavy
smoke showing. Engine 41 crews were assigned to back-up
lines and ventilation along with an additional water
supply. Fire was determined to be in basement area and
was extinguished within minutes. The church sustained
major damage from smoke and fire. The fire was believed
to have started in a heating unit located in the
basement. The church had just finished with Sunday night
service one hour before the initial call was dispatched.
