CMC-Lincoln Groundbreaking
On Nov. 9, 2008 Boger City Fire assisted with the groundbreaking ceremony for the new CMC-Lincoln Medical Center that is going to be constructed on McAlister Rd. adjacent to the fire department. Members from Boger City FD set up a landing zone for MedCenter Air, showed kids the fire apparatus and answered questions. Numerous CMC officials along with city and county elected officials were on hand for the ceremony. The new facility sits on 64 acres and will cover 175,000 square feet; it will employee approximately 700 people and 70 physicians. A new 30,000 square foot medical office building will also be built on the campus. The new facility is scheduled to open in 2010.
