AFG Grant Check Presentation
On Friday November 1, 2007 Congressman Patrick McHenry presented Boger City Fire with a grant check for $35,930.00 from FEMA Homeland Security for the 2007 Fire Act Grant. The grant request was submitted in July and awarded in November. The grant will go to purchase a new thermal imaging camera, 15 SCBA cylinders, 20 voice activated pagers, and 10 portable radios. Members that were present at the presentation were Chief Mike Hill, Assistant Chief Jason Ingle, Firefighter/Board of Directors Rick Garner, Firefighter Steve Childs and Firefighter/EMT Bryan Lynch. Also present was Lincoln County Commissioner Alex Patton, who is very supportive of the County's Fire and Emergency Services.
