Annual Awards Banquet and Steak Supper
On February 5, 2011 Boger City Fire Department held its awards banquet and steak supper. This is an annual event held at the fire department that everybody enjoys dearly. This year was no different. The night was filled with great food, fellowship, and excitement - and of course the awards. This year the following awards were received:  

• Most Calls Responded To - Floyd Peeler
• Most Training Hours - Paul Dupree
• Most Improved Firefighter - Glen Floyd Jr.
• Firefighter Of The Year - Carson Cherry and Floyd Peeler
• Officer of the Year - Bryan Lynch

Congratulations go out to all of these members for the outstanding job they do. Commendation Bars were given out to members that obtained certifications during the year . The following were recognized for certifications:

• Firefighter I - Paul Dupree 
• Firefighter II - Paul Dupree
• Driver Operator - Scott Furr
• Aerial Operator - Scott Furr
• EMT - Matthew Beal, Tony Chapman, Glen Floyd Jr.
• Fire Officer - Scott Furr, Jason Ingle
• Instructor - Paul Dupree, Tonya Lynch
• Bachelors Degree in Fire Science - Joe Fletcher

Years of Service Pins were issued to the following: 

• Benjy Grice - 20 Years
• Kevin Newell - 20 Years
