Annual Steak Supper

020715On Saturday February 7th, the Boger City Fire Department held its annual Steak Supper. This is a yearly tradition where the firemen and their families enjoy great food and fellowship. The awards for the previous year are also awarded on this night. Pictured are the award recipients with the command staff of the Department.

MVA HWY 321

100414 On Saturday December 27th, the Boger City Fire Department was dispatched to Highway 321 for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Engine 40 and Rescue 46 arrived to find a single vehicle accident with all patients free from the vehicle. Fire crews assisted EMS with caring for one patient who was the driver of the vehicle. Units that responded were Engine 40, Rescue 46, LCEMS, NCSHP.

Fire Safety Day at Iron Station Elementary

101014On Friday October 10th, the Boger City Fire Department along with North 321 FD and Alexis FD participated in a Fire Safety Day at Iron Station Elementary School. Kids got to walk around the different types of fire trucks and see a firefighter fully dressed in his turnout gear. The Boger City Fire Department would like to send a special thanks to the Iron Station Elementary School staff for assisting us in making this event happen. Also thanks to North 321 FD and Alexis FD for sending trucks to participate

MVA Entrapment

100414 On Saturday October 4th, the Boger City Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in a wooded area. Upon arrival crews found a single vehicle accident with one patient entrapped in the vehicle. Crews extricatedthe victim within a few minutes of arriving on the scene and then assisted EMS with patient care and removing the patient from the wooded area. Units that responded were Engine 40, Rescue 46, Car 421, LCEMS, SHP.

Live Burn Training

053114On Saturday, May 31 2014 6 members of the Boger City Fire Department attended a live burn with the Lincolnton Fire Department. Members participated in burning a 2 story and a single story duplex located off of Water St. in downtown Lincolnton. Members were able to make interior fire attacks and participate in several hours of good training. The Boger City Fire Department would like to thank the Lincolnton Fire Department for the invitation to this great training exercise.
