The Boger City Fire Department was organized in
1958. Our fire district is located in central
Lincoln County approximately 35 miles Northwest
of Charlotte. We operate 3 engines, 1 rescue, 1
quick response vehicle and 1 brush unit out of
our fire station that was built in 2003. We
currently serve a population of 9,500 residents.
The Boger City Fire Department provides fire
suppression, rescue and EMS 24 hours a day, 7
days a week. We employee three full time
employees and two part time positions
daily from our membership. One works from 7am to
4pm, and the other works from 10am to 7pm. This
allows us to have full coverage from 7am to 7pm.
We provide mutual aid to 6 other fire
departments. We currently have 45 members on our
roster.
Smoke detector program
Boger City Fire Department has received a grant to
install residential smoke detectors for residents in our
Iron Station and Boger City area. The fire department
will provide the detector and free installation. The
detectors have a 10 year non-replaceable battery. Senior
citizens and low-income households have first priority
for the detectors, however, no household in need of a
working smoke detector will be denied.Contact the
fire station at 704-735-6046 to schedule an appointment. |
