Firefighter Agility Test

On May 15th applicants for the three full time firefighter positions went through the agility testing process. Five out of eleven will move on to the interview process.

Firefighter Written Test

On May 7, 2013 we held the written test for the hiring of three full time firefighter positions. Twenty-one applicants showed up for the written test. The eleven that passed the written portion will move on to the agility test on May 15.

Fully Involved Mobile Home

On March 28, Boger City Fire along with Lincolnton Fire and South Fork Fire Departments were dispatched to a report of a possible structure fire on Hill Road. Engine 2 and Engine 40 arrived on the scene to report a fully involved mobile home.

Structure Fire

On March 5 at approximately 1:30 AM, Boger City Fire, Lincolnton Fire & North 321 Fire were dispatched to a possible structure fire on Highway 27 East. Engine 40 and Engine 2 arrived to find heavy fire conditions.

Engine 40

Recently Boger City placed a new engine In service. Engine 40 will be the first out engine. The new Pierce apparatus is equipped with a full line of Hurst® Edraulic® tools as well as all new equipment for firefighting.

Annual Steak Supper

On Feb. 2, 2013 Boger City Fire Department had its Annual Steak Supper and Awards Banquet. The night was filled with great food, great fellowship and brotherhood. The following awards were given out as well:

• Randy Beal - Firefighter of the Year
• Joe Fletcher - Officer of the Year
• Carson Cherry - Most Training Hours
• Floyd Peeler - Most Responses
